In 2016, there will be three calls for metrology research proposals under EMPIR (European Metrology Programme for Innovation & Research) that may be of interest to FMI members. These are on the general themes of:-
- Metrology for Energy – €20m EU support available
- Metrology for Environment – €20m
- Normative (research for metrology standardisation) – €4.6m
NEL intends to take forward the best-supported flow metrology research topics of those identified in the FMI strategy document. It therefore encourages FMI members to get in touch for early, no-obligation discussion of their research priorities. Please contact David Crawford at NEL on 01355 220222 or by email: David.Crawford@tuv-sud.co.uk
The call documents and call process will be published in the coming months. In the meantime please see the EURAMET website for more detail – http://msu.euramet.org/future_calls/index.html
Please note that this posting is on behalf of NEL, which is both an FMI and EURAMET member organisation. FMI members are free to participate in EMPIR independently of NEL should they wish to. The call will be open for participation to European research institutes, industry, academia and others.
